A prominent activist, volunteer and a trained military field medic, North Peigan is seeking to become the first Blackfoot woman elected to the Alberta legislature. She ran for council in Ward 7 in 2021.

Sabir is seeking re-election for a third term after winning in 2015 and 2019. Originally from Pakistan, and a lawyer by trade, he served as minister of Human Services in Rachel Notley’s cabinet.

Brar owns a logistics company and works as a business instructor.

Describing herself as “committed conservative with experience in sectors ranging from energy to education,” Schulz was first elected in 2019 and serves as minister for Children’s Services.

Prior to his election in 2019, Jones worked as an investment banker.

Probably the only candidate who is also an internationally-recognized medical researcher, Metz says she was motivated to run after the UCP’s cuts to healthcare.

Schow is seeking a second term after being elected in 2019. He has a bachelor’s degree in Russian, which he says he speaks at a conversational level. Before he became an MLA, Schow worked as a legislative coordinator in the legislature, and as a parliamentary assistant in the House of Commons.

Before politics, Horner was a rancher from Pollockville, south of Hanna. First elected in 2019, he has served as the minister for Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Economic Development since November 2021.

Neudorf is seeking a second term after first winning office in 2019. He serves as the UCP caucus chair, and chair of the Standing Committee on Alberta’s Economic Future. Before politics, he worked in commercial construction.

A former two-term Lethbridge city councillor, Miyashiro has been a strident critic of the government's health care policies. He is the executive director of the Lethbridge Senior Citizens Organization, and volunteers with the Humane Society.

Cooper is looking for a third term after winning in 2015 and 2019. He served as interim leader of the newly-created UCP for three months, from July to October 2017. He has served as speaker of the legislature since May 2019.
